Happy Lunar New Year
On the 28 it will be a New Year for people who use the Lunar Calendar. You may ask yourself what does this have to do with blogging? Well I’m going to use it as a jumping off point to remind you that there is a very diverse audience out there that you can reach out to.
The Year of the Rooster
You may think of the Lunar New Year or as it’s also known, Chinese New Year, as something that’s celebrated in a small section of your city. But don’t forget that Chinese people make up roughly 20% of the global population.
This is the point I am trying to make. While you may think of these other groups you haven’t reached out to, as small and not the main part of your audience, it is very important not to forget about them.
Inclusion Can Lead to Referrals
Doing things like reaching out to them via your blog can really send a great message to them and you might be surprised by the results. Smaller groups can also be tight knit groups that are great at referrals.
You may also be surprised by the actual size of the group. Remember my original point and that 1.4 Billion people celebrate the Lunar New Year.
